This mini-kit was specifically created as a "bolt-on" antenna bumper mount for the Jeep "TJ" Wranglers. Mounting is as easy as removing two of the stock bumber bolts and installing the mount with the supplied hardware. You'll be up and running soon after opening the box. And, like all of our mini-kits, you save money when compared to purchasing individual components.

The bracket is a hefty 2" wide aluminum extrusion. It stands about 6.5" (top to bottom) when fully assembled. Instead of degrading the integrity of the mount with a common antenna stud mount, the bracket is finished off with our glass reinforced nylon dome mount. This mount isn't for wimps or sissy's! By all rights, this brute ought to be as ugly as sin, but instead you get the beast and the beauty in one package.

Included in the kit is 18 ft (5.5m) of professional grade coaxial cable. We chose our rugged, weatherproof FireRing coax to go with this kit because it is equally as tough as the mount itself. The coax is complete with a "radio-ready" PL-259 connector. All Firestik mini-kits also include a FREE microphone hanger to help you keep track of your microphone.

To achieve adequate roof clearance and realize sufficient RF radiation with minimal reflection, especially on vehicles with either a hard or soft top, the minimum antenna length you should use with this mount is 4-feet (1.2m). For improved performance, we recommend the use of the 5-foot FS5 antenna. For maximum performance our KW6 or KW7 antenna may be selected.
